News 8’s medical reporter recaps WISH-TV’s COVID-19 town hall
On Thursday, March 4, WISH-TV aired “Overcoming COVID: A WISH-TV Special.” The broadcast briefly recapped the previous year of the pandemic, but–more importantly–highlighted the progress Indiana has made since the first case was confirmed in the state on March 6, 2020.
News 8’s medical reporter, Dr. Mary Gillis, was on IndyStyle today to discuss one of the four key focuses of the special: mental health. Gillis spoke about the uptick in anxiety and depression among other psychiatric disorders across the U.S. compared to years past. She also talked about four things people can do if they find themselves from poor mental health.
