Noblesville announces 2 downtown developments

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — Noblesville will partner with a limited liability corporation to build a $7.7 million commercial and retail space downtown, the mayor announced Thursday.

The Lofts on Tenth will be built on the east side of 10th Street between Clinton and Wayne streets. That area is northeast of the Courthouse Square has a consignment shop and an auto and tire center.

“This project will increase the downtown livability and provide immediate density and energy along with 8,000 square feet of commercial and retail space,” said a news release from Noblesville government. “Unique below street level commercial and restaurant space keeps with the historic feel of the architecture.”

The partnership with Xanderco LLC was one of several economic development projects that Mayor Chris Jensen announced in his State of the City address.

He also announced the Village at Federal Hill will be built west of the White River in downtown Noblesville. The development will include 163 “living units,” retail space, and more than 400 parking spaces on the street and in a new garage. The development will be adjacent to Federal Hill Commons, a park with an amphitheater. Details about the cost and development of the project were not in a news release from the city.
