Noblesville looks to create viral Justin Timberlake video

NOBLESVILLE, Ind (WISH) – After Justin Timberlake put out a “Don’t Stop the Feeling” challenge, Noblesville officials are creating a way to answer it.

Camera crews can be found across the city. On Wednesday, they popped inside Noble Coffee and Tea, where employees broke out in dance.

“It’ll get you out of your comfort zone, which is always good, and because you won’t regret it, because you never regret fun,” Noble Coffee and Tea manager Kelli Yates said.

They weren’t the only ones. Noblesville parks and rec employees, including Felix the mascot, lost control at Forest Park to the beat.

“We discovered there wasn’t any in Indiana that had done it yet, so we wanted to be one of the first, and just kind of show off our community,” Noblesville public affairs manager, Robert Herrington said.

The city is filming all week and on Wednesday, three departments got involved.

On Friday the mayor, police and the fire department will dance too.

“It would be great to have Justin Timberlake like it and share it,” Herrington said. “We’re not really doing it for a contest, we’re really kind of doing it for community pride.”

It’s not only about government workers, the city wants the public involved too. Neighbors can shoot, and send a video, dancing to the song until July 6.

“No one is going to look silly,” Herrington said. “We just want them to have fun.”

A goofy few minutes that gives people a chance to let go, and get some exercise in while doing it. “That was the longest minute of my life! I’m like out of breath,” Yates said.

The city hopes its video will be finished by the end of next month.
