Nonprofits can raise money working at Indiana State Fair
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – The Indiana State Fair says groups can raise money for their churches, schools or clubs with fundraising opportunities at the Aug. 5-21 event.
The fair says it takes about 600 people to staff parking and gates. It says about $85,000 is expected to go to fundraising organizations this year. Participants will earn $7 per hour for their groups.
Registration is open online at indianastatefair.com until July 15. Eligible groups can submit their information, along with a registration fee of $25 per shift up to four shifts that later will be reimbursed. Group leaders then will be given a link for all participants to complete training before starting at the fair.
Organizations must be registered nonprofits. They’ll be paid after the fair ends.
