Northern Indiana woman faces battery charge in toddler’s death
NEW PARIS, Ind. (AP) – A northern Indiana woman has been charged with a battery in connection with the October death of a toddler she was babysitting in her home.
The Elkhart Truth reports that 58-year-old Jackie L. Rolston of New Paris was charged Friday with battery on a child resulting in death.
Elkhart County Prosecutor’s office spokeswoman Heather Norman says the charge stems from the Oct. 29 death of 19-month-old Kirk Coleman, who died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Rolston had not been booked on the battery charge at the Elkhart County Jail as of Sunday afternoon.
