Officials searching for suspect involved in Cloverdale bank robbery

CLOVERDALE, Ind. (WTHI) – Multiple agencies including the Cloverdale Police Department, Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, FBI and Indiana State Police are actively looking for suspect they believe robbed a Cloverdale bank.

Putnam County Sheriff’s Department received a call just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday stating a bank robbery occurred at Our Community Bank in Cloverdale. The bank is located at 102 South Main Street.

Officials have identified the suspect as Thomas A. Baker, 43 of Cloverdale.

Baker did display a handgun in his waistband to bank personnel at the time of the robbery. He was observed leaving the bank in what’s been described as a silver early 2000’s four door Saturn.

He was wearing a dark colored t-shirt, blue jeans and a black jacket. He was also wearing a black toboggan and eyeglasses.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Thomas Baker is encouraged to call the Indiana State Police at the Putnamville Post at (765) 653-4114 and speak to Detective Don Curtis.
