One arrested in Caroline Avenue shooting death

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WISH) — An arrest has been made in Monday evening’s shooting death on Caroline Avenue.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives, along with detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit, arrested 34-year-old Kieah Williams. Williams was arrested Wednesday without incident. He was wanted on a warrant for murder and carrying a handgun without a license.

Monday’s homicide happened in the 2500 block of Caroline Avenue around 10:40 p.m. When officers got to the scene they found 19-year-old Devonzae Jones suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS crews.
