One dead after wreck between train and truck in Randolph Co.

PARKER CITY, Ind. (WISH) – One person is dead following a wreck between a car and a train.

Parker City Police did confirm the fatal accident.

The deadly crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. Friday near the railroad crossing on Main Street in Parker City.

According to the Parker City Police Department, a pick up truck was struck by a train and then dragged.

The conductor of the train told police that truck did not stop at the crossing arms and then tried to drive around them.

Soon after arriving on scene, the driver, Phillip Terry Wright of Parker City, was pronounced dead.
