Outreach event to give businesses chance to hear, bid on contracts for new justice center

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The construction group that led the charge in the building of Lucas Oil Stadium is now slated for another huge, local project.

And this week, AECOM Hunt is calling on citizens to learn more about some contracts up for bid on the new Marion County Jail and sheriff’s office.

Bill Edward with AECOM and Camille Blunt, director of the Office of Minority and Women Business Development, stopped by Daybreak Monday.

They talked about an opportunity fair happening on Wednesday, Jan. 29 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m in Indianapolis.

It’s an opportunity fair which is emphasizing minority, women and veteran businesses to learn about how to bid on contracts for the new justice center.

The project has $20 million in contracts to be awarded.
