Pacers return to work after All-Star break

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indiana Pacers had the week off because of the All-Star break, but Tuesday night it was back to work for the Blue and Gold.

The Pacers hit the practice court gearing up for the second half of the NBA season. The team has a couple of days to get ready to face the 76ers on Friday night in Philadelphia.

The Blue and Gold find themselves two games out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Pacers went into the All-Star break with nice wins against the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Charlotte Hornets. Indiana has won four of their past five games and the guys say they’re glad to be back.

“The break definitely can throw a wrench in there because obviously guys need rest at this point of the season,” said C.J Miles. “But when you’re playing well, you don’t want to stop it. This year, with it being a little bit longer, it’s a bit of a challenge, but we came into practice today. Guys obviously took care of themselves over break and we made it through a really good practice.”

“I don’t think guys took completely off,” said David West. “Obviously you can’t do that, so it’s good that guys are back in. So we’re going to try to get locked in here and come out to compete on Friday night.”
