PacSun faces angry backlash for selling upside-down flag T-shirt
FARMINGTON, Ct. (WJHL) – Angry customers are commenting on PacSun’s Facebook page over a T-shirt for sale at their stores that features an upside-down American flag.
Many shoppers are calling store a “disgrace, ‘disgusting’ and ‘insulting’.
An upside-down American flag is an unofficial signal of distress.
According to the US Flag Code, the “flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.”
