Partly sunny Friday ahead of weekend snow, accumulation

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Light snow Thursday night and a mix of sun and clouds Friday will precede weekend snow with likely accumulation.

Thursday night:
Light snow showers have moved out of the state. Temperatures will hold fairly steady in the 20s overnight. 

Friday:
A mix of sun and clouds are expected on Friday. Clouds and temperatures will increase throughout the day. By Friday afternoon, highs will be in the mid 40s. 

Friday night: 
Decreasing clouds and temperatures are expected Friday evening, with a slight chance of snow flurries late. 

Saturday:
It will be mainly dry and colder on Saturday, with high temperatures in the upper 30s. Isolated snow showers will develop Saturday overnight into Sunday morning. 

Sunday: 
Expect steady snow showers to start the day. On and off snow showers will continue throughout the day. Snow showers will bring slick and snow-covered roads. Snow accumulation is expected by Sunday afternoon. 

8 day forecast:
An arctic blast will bring much colder conditions to the forecast Sunday and for much of next week. Daily afternoon high temperatures will only warm to the low 20s with overnight low temperatures in the single digits. A slight warm-up is expected as we head into next weekend.
