Pedestrian struck by vehicle, killed in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – A person died Wednesday after being struck by a vehicle in Columbus, according to the Bartholomew County Coroner’s Office.

According to the coroner’s office, the incident happened in the area of 25th Street and Taylor Road just before 7:30 p.m.

The victim, 62-year-old Bao Qui, was killed due to blunt force trauma, according to the coroner. 

Columbus police said the driver was 41-year-old Jennifer Pearson of Waldron.

The events leading up to the deadly incident are unclear at this point. The crash remained under investigation by the Columbus Police Department.
