Person dies in crash of multiple vehicles on West Washington Street
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person has died in a Wednesday night crash involving at least three vehicles on the city’s west side, police said.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and emergency medical crews were called about 7:50 p.m. Wednesday to a personal-injury accident with entrapment at West Washington Street and Central Greens Boulevard. That’s about halfway between North Tibbs and North Warman avenues.
Officer William Young, an IMPD spokesman, said accident investigators remained at the scene shortly before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Others were taken to an area hospital with injuries, but Young could not provide any additional details. Police also did not know how the crash might have happened, although photos from the scene showed at least one vehicle on its side.
