Police: 2 separate murders net arrests

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Three men were arrested this week on murder charges stemming from two separate, unrelated cases, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials said Friday.

IMPD arrested 18-year-old Raymond Hudson, of Indianapolis, on a murder charge Thursday in connection to the Nov. 7, 2014 death of Richard Waldon, 20. Waldon was found shot in the 1900 block of Spencer Avenue and later died at the hospital.

Earlier this week, police arrested 22-year-old Devin Gilbert and 23-year-old Stanley Jackson, both of Indianapolis, on murder and attempted murder charges. Their arrests, police said, are related to the Jan. 8 murder of Tevon Slater, 24, and the shooting of two others. Slater was found shot multiple times in an apartment on the 3200 block of Guilford Avenue, according to police.

As of Friday afternoon, all three men are being held in Marion County Jail.

Police did not say the cases are related.
