Police arrest grandson in connection with murder

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police were called to a residence in the 4500 block of Calhoun Street around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

After arriving on the scene, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department found Lucille Gladney, 78, dead in the residence.

Police spoke with family members who said that Gladney’s vehicle was missing, and that her grandson Richard Norris, 21, was driving her missing vehicle.

Police located and detained Norris, and he was taken in by the IMPD Homicide division for questioning.

After questioning Norris, IMPD detectives arrested Norris on the preliminary charge of murder.
