Police ID man fatally shot on city’s northeast side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating after a man was fatally shot on the city’s northeast side Monday night.
It happened in the 2500 block of Caroline Avenue around 10:40 p.m. When officers got to the scene they found 19-year-old Devonzae Jones suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS crews.
Homicide detectives spoke with witnesses at the scene.
