Police investigate after man found dead in east side home

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police in Indianapolis are investigating after Harold Mullen, 57, was found shot inside an east side home Tuesday morning, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials said.

Officers were called to the 1300 block of North Ewing Street shortly after 6 a.m. on the report of shots fired.

When police arrived on scene they found Mullen with a gunshot wound to the neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene. IMPD investigators initially said it’s possible this was a suicide but details surrounding the man’s death are under investigation.
