Police release names of motorcyclist and passenger in accident on I-69
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – The Indiana State Police and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Curtis D. Mckinney of Edgewood,IL, has died as a result of his injuries during the accident. The passenger, Bonne L. Mckinney, also of Edgewood,Il was treated at the hospital and later released.
Both were injured in an accident on Saturday night.
According to officials, the driver and his passenger were ejected from his motorcycle and were seriously injured. He was transported by ambulance to St. Vincent Health in Fishers and his female passenger was transported by medical helicopter to IU Health Methodist Hospital.
All southbound lanes of I-69 were shut down from the 210 mile marker to the 213 mile marker at 6:30 p.m. Officials stated that traffic would be backed up for hours, because of the accident and the Kid Rock concert at Klipsch Music Center.
They advised motorists to seek an alternate route.
The interstate opened again to motorists at 10 p.m. but traffic was congested due to the concert at the music center.
