Police seek suspect in east side attempted robbery

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers are searching for a man who attempted to rob a Family Dollar on the city’s east side.

According to IMPD, the suspect attempted to rob the store in the 3700 block of East New York Street on March 16 at 3:10 p.m. A black male entered the business with a hand gun. The suspect did not get away with anything, police said.

Police say he fled from the business.
