Pre-K students set for mini marathon of their own

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – On Saturday, an estimated 35,000 runners will take over the streets for the 500 Festival Mini Marathon.

However, some pre-k kids at the Jewish Community Center are having a big race of their own. They are holding their very own Mini Mini Marathon.

It’s the fourth mini race they’ve had at the Jewish Community Center and it initially started out as a way to get the child into exercising.

While the runners on Saturday will be running for 13 miles, the kids will be pacing themselves to run for 13 minutes.

The children will run in front of family and friends on Friday morning.
