Rain chances and cool temperatures this weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We will experience well below average temperatures with scattered showers both days this weekend.

Saturday:

An upper level wave is moving in from the Plains. This should increase cloud cover this morning, and bring rain chances to the area this afternoon. It will be a close call for the IncyCar Grand Prix at IMS, as showers will be knocking at the door, if not already occuring by the time the green flag drops.

Meanwhile, temperatures will run cool again today, with highs around 60°.

Saturday night:

Scattered shower chances will continue into the evening and overnight. Lows will fall to the middle 40s.

Mother’s Day:

Cloudy conditions with isolated showers will continue throughout much of the day. Temperatures will remain cool, only hitting the middle 50s Sunday afternoon.

8 day forecast:

A dry pattern shakes out to open the work week. Temperatures will slowly rebound this upcoming week, as we return to the middle 60s by Tuesday, and should move back to the 70s by Wednesday and beyond.
