Rain out for now with additional rain chances set to return soon

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We started off with some rain early in the morning, but the Indianapolis airport only picked up four hundredths of an inch of rain.

After the rain passed on we eventually worked our way up to 80 degrees, which is slightly above average for this time of the year. Humidity also remained relatively low throughout today. This is the first time that we are back around our average high in several days after having hot temperatures.

Skies will remain clear heading into the overnight hours will temperatures in the mid-60’s by midnight.

Lows will dip into the upper 50’s, a comfortable start to the morning. You’ll also be able to crack open the windows for a little free A/C tonight.

Your commute Monday morning looks to be excellent with clear skies and temperatures hovering around the 60 degree mark.

For Monday, high temperatures will rise into the upper 70’s in most areas. Another nice day will take shape as skies look to remain clear and humidity values will be low once again.

Monday also looks to remain dry through the day.

Tuesday features our next chance for rain. Some scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon and evening hours.

Rain chances will increase slightly once again as we head towards the end of the week on Thursday and Friday.

We will have a slightly cooler Wednesday after a warm Tuesday before temperatures soar back towards 90 degrees. So get ready to hydrate more frequently in the coming days.

Scattered storm chances roll back in Thursday and look to remain that way up until after Sunday. After a cold front passes through on Friday, we will have a rain cooled Saturday and Sunday before we jump back into the mid-80’s for next Monday.
