Red Line bus transit supporters gather at pub

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — IndyGo’s Red Line bus transit construction is getting some vocal support.

Several dozen people gathered at Twenty Tap in the Broad Ripple neighborhood on Monday night. They wanted to let Indianapolis leaders know that they want the Red Line and and think it will positively impact the quality of life in nearby neighborhoods.

One family at the event said they bought a new home in the area in anticipation of the Red Line opening soon.

But, not everyone supports the Red Line. Some people living in the Meridian-Kessler neighborhood are concerned that permanent changes will cause more traffic and speeding. According to a website, they are planning a neighborhood rally is set for Tuesday afternoon at 57th Street and Central Avenue.
