Report: Broncos considered trading Manning
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A new report claims the Denver Broncos considered trading quarterback Peyton Manning for the upcoming season.
Colorado radio host Benjamin Allbright tweeted that two unrelated, official sources in the Broncos organization, told him the team tried to trade Manning to the Houston Texans.
If true, the former Colts star would have had to face his old team twice, each season.
The report said there were some in the Broncos organization who wanted to replace him with backup quarterback Brock Osweiler for the upcoming season.
Patrick Smyth, a Broncos public relations vice president, took to social media to call Allbright’s reporting inaccurate.
