‘Resistance is Futile’: Trekkies flock to Children’s Museum of Indianapolis for Star Trek exhibit

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — If you know how to say at least some words in Klingon or dream of taking a trip on the Enterprise, you’re probably a Trekkie. The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis has a new exhibit that focuses on Star Trek.

Star Trek has spanned more than five decades with seven TV series and 13 movies, so it is a media franchise with die-hard fans, who are going to enjoy this exhibit.

The exhibit includes actual television and film props and costumes, including the original bridge. There are also several interactive areas in the exhibit where visitors can be beamed into different locations and reenact the “Khaaaan” scene.

“Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds” is open to museum members Friday, Feb.1, 2019. The opening day celebration is Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The exhibit is open until April 7, 2019.
