Richmond Hill suspect Gary Thompson sentenced
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Another suspect in the Richmond Hill home explosion case has been sentenced.
Gary Thompson received a 30-year sentence for his role in the crime. He had previously agreed to plead guilty in August.
Ten years of Thompson’s sentence will be suspended, per the agreement. His agreement was to plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit arson resulting in serious bodily injury.
Two people were killed in the Nov. 2012 explosion.
Mark and Bob Leonard were previously sentenced in the case, with both receiving consecutive life sentences without parole. Mark Leonard’s sentence includes an extra 75-year sentence; Bob’s includes an additional 70 years.
Monserrate Shirley is set to be sentenced on Dec. 19. Glenn Hults will be sentenced on Dec. 28.
