‘Scarves for the Homeless’ aims to help local homeless stay warm

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A group will come together in Broad Ripple Wednesday night in an effort to help out the city’s homeless.

The event is called “Scarves for the Homeless” and is put on by Athletic Annex, a fitness specialty store.

It will kick off at 6 p.m. and they ask that as many people as possible come out and bring scarves, hats, gloves, socks for this run/walk event.

Along the three mile route throughout Broad Ripple, scarves will be wrapped around poles, fire hydrants and lamp posts for the local homeless to take them.

The event is free and open to the public. After the run/walk, chili will be served.
