Scattered strong storms possible today

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — There will be morning showers and storms, followed by another dose of scattered strong storms this Sunday afternoon.

Sunday:

We’re watching scattered showers and storms move through this morning. We’ll keep a pretty decent rain chance in the forecast through 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The best chance for some dry time will be between 10 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. but I caution that even then, an isolated shower or storm can’t be ruled out. It appears that there at least will be a chance for some track activity on time, or close to on time.

We’ll have another round of storms developing for the afternoon hours. Again, a few storms could be strong to severe.

Highs will top out around 80° this afternoon.

Sunday Night:

Rain will come to and end and it will be partly cloudy and mild, with lows in the middle 60s.

Memorial Day:

Much of the day will be dry. It will be paartly cloudy and warm, with highs in the middle 80s. A few isolated storms will be possible very late Monday afternoon.

8 day forecast:

It will be a dry start to the shortened work week. Tuesday looks sunny with highs in the middle 80s.  An active pattern sets up for mid week, with showers and storms possible Wednesday and Thursday, and more rain possible this weekend.
