Serious crash reported in Madison County on SR 109
MADISON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Emergency crews were responding to a serious crash in Madison County Wednesday morning.
According police on the scene, two vehicles, including a semi truck and SUV, were involved in a crash around 8 a.m. along State Road 109, just south of 1000 South.
Officials say the driver of the semi was not injured. The female driver in the SUV was taken the hospital. Police say she was thrown from the vehicle.
It wasn’t clear what caused the crash.
SR 109 was closed near the scene. Officials ask motorists to avoid the area.
