Several colleges cancel classes due to severe weather

MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) — Several Indiana colleges are cancelling classes due to bitter cold weather.

Ball State University will be closing due to severe weather.

Classes are canceled from 7 a.m. Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursday.

The university is asking for essential personnel to still report to campus.

A release from the university states that residence halls, dining facilities, recreation services and the L.A. Pittenger Student Center will still be open.

IUPUI has also canceled classes.

University of Indianapolis has canceled classes as well, with students not asked to return until 10 a.m. Thursday. Essential personnel are asked to report to campus. Dining services will also be open.
