Sheriff: Body found in vehicle fire near Walt Disney World

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (WFLA) — A body was found inside a burning vehicle early Saturday morning near Walt Disney World, according to Orange County deputies who are now investigating the case.

Deputies were called to 1209 Epcot Resorts Boulevard just after 4 a.m. Saturday to help the Reedy Creek Fire Department with a car fire. The address is near Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course.

When firefighters extinguished the flames, a victim was found dead inside.

The Fire Marshal responded to the scene to assist homicide detectives.

Deputies have not yet released any information on the victim or what started the fire, but say they will provide more information when it is available.

This is the second deadly incident at Disney World this week. On Wednesday, a worker died after falling into a vat of oil during an industrial accident.
