Showers and storms return Sunday with strong storms possible Monday
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It has been a nice day so far with clouds beginning to roll in during the early afternoon hours.
We will hold in the mid to low 70s this evening with partly cloudy skies. It will be a nice night to make outdoor plans.
Lows will dip into the low 60s while outlying areas slip into the upper 50s. While it would be free a/c, you might keep the windows closed tonight with rain showers moving in through the overnight.
Scattered showers and storms will be possible for us on and off throughout the day tomorrow.
We look to have a good round of showers and storms in the late morning to early afternoon hours, and then another heavy round will roll through in the nighttime hours. Locally heavy rainfall is possible.
High temperatures will only rise around the 80° mark in most areas Sunday.
We look to have another chance of storms on Monday during the early afternoon hours.
Some of these storms could be strong to severe. A marginal risk of severe weather exists for most of Southern Indiana. Damaging winds and hail are the primary threats.
Our temperatures look to remain below average through the next 5 days before a warm up moves in through the second half of next week.
Rain chances will go up everyday until after Tuesday. Most areas will pick up at least 1” of much needed rainfall from Sunday through the middle of next week.
We will start August with below normal temperatures and rain chances. We look to soar back into the upper 80s by next weekend. Another chance of storms is possible next Friday with slightly improved conditions next weekend.
