Silver Alert canceled for 83-year-old Avon man

Avon police tweeted: “Earlier this evening, a statewide Silver Alert was issued for Clarence Mahurin. We are happy to report that Mr. Mahurin was located by officers with IMPD earlier this evening. Mr. Mahurin is currently being checked out by medical staff in Indy”

AVON, Ind. (WISH) — State police have issued a Silver Alert for an 83-year-old Avon man last seen Monday morning.
Police describe Clarence Mahurin as a 6-feet-1 white male, 183 pounds, with white hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a beige Dale Earnhardt baseball cap, a plaid button-down shirt (red, white, blue), khaki-colored dress pants and suede house slippers.
According to state police, Mahurin was last seen around 11 a.m. Monday driving a burnt orange 2008 Dodge Ram with Indiana handicap plate D251EU. The Dodge Ram has chrome wheels, running boards and gas cap.
Mahurin is believed to be in extreme danger and my require medical assistance.
