Slow driver pulled over, arrested for drug possession

JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A man was arrested on drug charges near Seymour this week, after his slow driving led to a traffic stop.

The man driving the car was driving below the posted 70 mph limit when Indiana State Police pulled him over, the Columbus Republic reports.

Troopers detained 34-year-old John C. Stevens, of Sheridan, after a K-9 indicated his car contained drugs.

Stevens faces charges of meth and marijuana possession, after ISP officials said they found three grams of each in his car, as well as a small amount of high-grade marijuana.

Stevens was taken to Jackson County Jail, and has since been released on bond.
