INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A chilly start to the morning with cloudy skies and wind chills in the teens. Significant improvement in temperatures Thursday morning! Highs today will warm to the lower 30s with increasing snow chances during the afternoon. Snow will become steady this evening and overnight with snow accumulation by early Friday morning between 1-3”. Roads will be very slick with freezing drizzle mixing in early Friday morning.
Snow will wrap up mid Friday morning. Highs Friday will warm to the lower 40s with a cloudy sky.
Big changes this weekend with highs in the lower 50s Saturday afternoon with showers and thunderstorms during the late part of the day. No severe weather expected. The severe weather threat is mainly southwest of Indiana. Heavy rain is possible through the afternoon and evening. Rainfall amounts could exceed an inch by early Sunday morning.
Sunday will be a drier and windy day with high temperatures in the upper 40s.
Next week will be another rollercoaster of the week with highs in the lower 40s to begin the work week. Highs will soar to near 60° by mid-week with chances of rain and storms through Thursday.
