Snow arriving Sunday to much of central Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A winter weather advisory was issued for much of central Indiana from 8 a.m. Sunday until midnight.

Early Sunday morning, snow will start to enter our western zones and will spread across central Indiana through the afternoon and evening.

Snow will become widespread during the afternoon. It will be a bit breezy, creating blowing snow and making for reduced visibility.

Travel will be slow as roads become slick.

Snow will taper off by Sunday night and become scattered.

Most areas will see one to three inches. Scattered snow will linger into early Monday morning.

Later in the day Monday, some areas could see a wintry mix as highs climb into the middle to upper 30s.

For Saturday night, clouds will build in late. Lows will drop into the single digits with wind chills at zero degrees to negative five degrees. Highs Sunday will reach the mid 20s.
