9 years… and counting!

We’re celebrating 9 years of Indy Style, and Something Blue Bakery is making us feel extra special. Owner and Artist Makenzie Kus shows off her creation! 

About Something Blue Bakery: (as told by Makenzie) 

Something Blue Bakery is located at 918 Main St in historic downtown Lafayette, Indiana. We also serve West Lafayette and Central Indiana. The bakery/cupcakery retail shop offers “classic” and “designer” flavored cupcakes, in addition to specialty whoopie pies, brownies, theme-decorated sugar cookies and other assorted baked goods daily. The designer flavors and themes change weekly so there is always something new and unique to indulge in.

We are also a custom-order cake shop. Owner/Cake Artist, Makenzie Kus, works personally with each client to create the work-of-art custom cake of your dreams. All shapes, sizes, flavors and fillings can be created. The possibilities are endless. If you can dream it, we can create it!

Something Blue Bakery specializes in wedding cakes, wedding cupcakes, specialty cakes for birthdays, grooms, baby and bridal showers, anniversaries, engagement, bachelorette, retirement, holiday and tailgate parties, sorority/fraternity events, baptisms, confirmations, bar/bat mitsvahs, quinceaneras, graduations, corporate events or any occasion. An artistic, one-of-a-kind designed cake will be remembered by your family, friends, employees or coworkers as a wonderful and delicious touch.

Visit our Facebook page to see some of Something Blue Bakery’s wedding and 3-D creations, in addition to customized, sculpted figurines and sugar flowers. We also offer handpainted cakes. Custom cupcakes, cookies, and cookie baskets may also be ordered. Custom work is priced individually per design and detail.

To ensure quality and devotion to each client, a limited number of orders are taken each week. A two-week in-advance booking is recommended, especially during the wedding, graduation and holiday seasons. The sooner you reserve your place on the calendar, the better. However, don’t hesitate to contact Something Blue Bakery if your request is not within the time frame, since there are often last-minute openings available. As always, cupcakes from our bakery retail shop can be customized for last-minute orders.
