Southport Police Department donating electric toy police car to 3-year-old supporter
SOUTHPORT, Ind. (WISH) – Southport Police officers are donating an electric toy police car to a three-year-old supporter.
Officers are giving Sam the toy police car because he has visited the Southport Police Department at least once a week to thank officers for their service, as well as to receive his police sticker the officers hand out. Sam even got his own police officer uniform to wear during his visits, and he has even started bringing friends along.
The police department decided to show their appreciation for his support, they have chipped in to purchase him his own police car. The electric vehicle has Southport Police graphics on it. The graphics were donated by Big Guy Signs.
Sam will be surprised with the gift on Thursday, Oct. 20 at 4:30 p.m.
