State Bank of Lizton rebrands, plans Carmel branch
BROWNSBURG, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — State Bank of Lizton is changing its name as it prepares to open a new branch in Hamilton County. The Brownsburg-based bank says it will rebrand as State Bank and plans to open its first branch under the new name in Carmel next spring.
The bank says the new name will allow it the “flexibility to grow and nurture new opportunities.” The Carmel branch, which will be located at 126th Street and Gray Road, will be the bank’s 10th location in central Indiana.
“We are very proud of our history as a quality community bank and that is reinforced by more customers throughout central Indiana who are recognizing the benefits of working with our locally owned Indiana bank,” said Mike Baker, chief executive officer of State Bank. “As we began seeing more of our customers from Hamilton County come to our bank, it was natural to expand our services to customers outside of Boone and Hendricks counties.”
State Bank says it will acquire the bank location in the Brookshire Village Shoppes retail center, which was recently acquired by Indianapolis-based real estate investment firm KennMar.
Additionally, the bank has selected Andy Pinegar as Carmel/Hamilton County Market President. Pinegar most recently served as a senior commercial lender for State Bank.
The bank did not provide a timeline for the full transition to the new State Bank name.
