Storm chances continue this week

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A few strong storms could be possible over the coming days.

Tuesday:

A warm front pushing in from the north will aid in showers and storms to move in from the southwest. A weakening line of storms will work into central Indiana tonight. While higher probabilities of severe storms will be just to our west, we can’t rule out a strong storm or two in central Indiana, with gusty winds and and isolated tornado possible.

Overnight lows will remain mild, in the mid to upper 50s up north and lower to middle 60s for everyone else.

Wednesday:

It will be another gray day, with scattered showers and storms possible. The Storms Prediction Center has placed all of central Indiana under a marginal risk for severe storms – with damaging wind and isolated tornadoes the main concerns.

Highs should top out in the middle 70s for everyone.

Thursday:

Scattered showers with a few thunderstorms will again be possible, as a frontal system finally makes its way through the state. Again, a few storms could be on the strong to severe side, as central Indiana is under a marginal risk for severe storms.

Highs will top out in the lower 70s.

8 day forecast:

A few lingering showers will be possible Friday morning, before we dry out during the afternoon. Another boundary could bring a few light morning showers to the area for the Indy Mini Marathon Saturday. Chances for rain return Sunday night into the start of the workweek.
