Storm chances tonight; cool down to follow

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Another round of showers and storms work into central Indiana overnight.

Tonight:

Area of low pressure will push numerous scattered showers and storms across central Indiana – especially later this evening into the overnight hours.  

A few storms could be strong to severe – damaging winds will be the primary concern.

Overnight temperatures fall to the middle 60s

Tomorrow:

Isolated scattered showers and storms are likely for the first half of the day.  As the low presses east of the Midwest, showers, and storms should move out for the afternoon hours.

Temperatures top out in the upper 70s.

Wednesday:

Much cooler air settling in the middle of the week.  Dry air should make for a very pleasant late August day.  Highs top out in the middle 70s.

8 day forecast:

The pattern should stay relatively quiet for the second half of the week.  Storm chances return this weekend, with the higher probability coming on Saturday.  The heat will ramp back up early next week, with temperatures hovering close to 90°
