Storms return later today

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Conditions will be half-and-half this weekend, with strong to severe storms possible later Saturday afternoon.

Saturday:

Saturday starts the weekend off dry and sunny. Expect clouds to be on the increase through much of the day ahead of a potent cold front. Isolated storms should start to fire by the middle to late afternoon hours. A few storms late in the day could be severe, highlighted in the slight risk from the Storm Prediction Center. The main concern will be damaging winds and large hail.

Highs Saturday will top out in the lower to middle 80s.

Saturday Night:

The severe threat will move out by mid-evening, but a few lingering showers and storms will be around through late Saturday/early overnight. Eventually, we will quiet down as we approach daybreak, Sunday.

Lows will fall to the upper 50s.

Sunday:

It will be a beautiful end to the weekend. Sunshine and cooler temps with lower humidity are in store. Highs will hit the lower 70s.

8 day forecast:

It will be a quiet start to the work week, with dry days both Monday and Tuesday. An active pattern returns starting late Tuesday night, with daily rain chances from Wednesday through the start of the weekend.
