Strong storms possible today with a big cool down mid week

A mild and quiet start to the work week with lots of clouds to start the morning. A cold front out west will quickly move eastward and increase our chances of storms during the afternoon. A Marginal Risk of strong to severe thunderstorms possible for western parts of the state this afternoon with the main threats being damaging winds, hail and flooding. Timing on the severe weather looks to be during the later half of the afternoon. Highs today will top out in the lower 80s. Tonight lows will cool off to the upper 60s with spotty showers about the region. Tuesday morning loos to be a soggy commute for some but not all with scattered showers and storms throughout the morning and afternoon. No severe weather expected for the day. It’ll be a cooler day with temperatures topping out in the upper 70s.

This up coming weekend is a bit unsettled with showers and storms possible with summer heat making a comeback. Highs in the upper 80s with scattered storms both Saturday and Sunday.
