Strong storms possible Wednesday afternoon

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A dry and muggy morning with temperatures in the lower 70s with a mostly cloudy sky. We should stay dry for the morning and early afternoon. High temperatures for Wednesday will warm to the lower 80s with shower and storm chances increasing through the later part of the day. Some storms could be strong to severe later Wednesday afternoon.

Indy and points north are under a marginal risk while areas south and southwest have a slight risk. Main threats will be flooding, hail,and damaging winds. Storms will continue through Wednesday night with lows in the mid-60s.

Thursday will be another soggy day with scattered shower and storm chances through the morning. Rain will begin to move out during the afternoon with a drier evening. Temperatures will also run a bit cooler with most spots topping out in the mid-70s. 

A dry day come Friday with a mostly sunny sky! Highs will return to the lower 80s, just in time for the first official day of summer. 

Rain returns for this weekend with scattered storms chances both Saturday and Sunday. Highs will warm to the mid-80s. Unfortunately, more rain chances are in the extended forecast with highs in the lower 80s.
