Strong thunderstorms possible Thursday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We had a great day today with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s

Temperatures fall into the lower 70s later Wednesday night.

Clouds will increase during the overnight hours ahead of our next system. Showers and even a few thunderstorms are possible by daybreak Thursday.

Some of the thunderstorms may be on the stronger side. Much of central Indiana is under a marginal risk of severe weather while southern parts of the state are under a slight risk.

The steady rain will come to an end around midday, but there’s still a chance for a few scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon.

Temperatures won’t move much throughout the day. We’ll start in the middle and upper 60s and only climb close to 70 for the afternoon.

Friday will be dry but cooler. Temperatures will start in the lower 50s and only climb close to 60 for the afternoon.

The weekend will start off dry. On Saturday, look for a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the middle to upper 60s. Showers will develop later Saturday night and continue off and on during the day Sunday. Temperatures begin to warm up through next week.
