Strong to severe storm potential today

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A stormy start to the morning as storms with heavy rain move in and out today. Temperatures will top out in the mid 70s for Tuesday afternoon. Scattered showers and storms will spread in during our lunch hours and will linger through the day. Best chance of severe weather will fall during mid afternoon through the evening with hail and damaging winds as the main threat. Slight risk of strong to severe storms for everybody Tuesday. Tuesday night storms still linger but our severe weather treat diminishes. Lows will range from the low 50s to the low 60s.

Wednesday will be a significantly better day as showers move eastbound. There could be a lingering shower for tomorrow morning but will quickly give way to a little bit of sunshine during the later half of the morning and early afternoon. Highs considerably cooler, topping out in the upper 60s. Lows late Wednesday will tumble to the upper 40s!

Through the remainder of the week highs rebound to the lower to mid 70s with mainly sunny skies. Great weather wil continue through the weekend with highs sitting perfectly in the mid 70s with lots of sunshine! Showers return for Monday and will be scattered about the area with highs in the mid 70s.
