Summer like day today with storms returning Thursday
A mild start to the morning with temperatures in the upper 60s. It’ll be another summer like day with mainly sunny skies and highs in the upper 80s! Tonight will be another warm evening with lows sliding to the lower 70s and upper 60s.
Thursday will be warm with highs in the mid 80s. The day starts off with lots of sunshine. A cold front will march it’s way into the state which will spark up scattered showers and storms. North east part of Indiana is under a marginal risk for strong to severe storms tomorrow afternoon with the main threats being large hail and damaging winds. Best chance to see storms will be between 2pm-6pm. Storm activity will wrap up closer to midnight with lows cooling off to the lower 60s.
Cold front ushers in cooler air by the end of the week and temperatures once again stay below normal. Highs on Friday top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s. A cooling trend will ensue for this weekend with highs temperatures settling into the upper 70s. Stay drys for a good portion of the weekend. Scattered afternoon storms possible late Sunday and will stick around through much of the work week. Temperatures are trending cooler for the last couple days of July and to start off the month of August.
