Surveillance video catches theft from tip jar at butcher shop
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A local butcher shop says a woman stole from the tip jar while employees were examining a possible counterfeit bill.
Kincaid’s Meat Market at 56th and Illinois streets caught surveillance of the thief in action.
Owner Jonathan Dugdale said employees were examining a possible counterfeit $100 bill on Wednesday morning. While that was going on, the woman that passed the bill grabbed the tip jar and put a handful of cash in her own pocket.
“There are some bad people out there,” Dugdale said in a Facebook post. “Watch your back.”
Dugdale filed a report with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
If you are able to identify the woman in the video, call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS (8477).
