Tech companies join forces with federal government to create contact tracing app

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Apple, Google and federal government officials are teaming up to create a contact tracing app. 

On Tuesday, WISH-TV’s medical reporter, Dr. Mary Gillis, D.Ed., discussed the app, slated to roll out at the end of May, and why early intervention for asymptomatic patients is key. 

Gillis also talked about some possible drawbacks of the app health officials are concerned about.
